HD from Dish Network… 494$ to buy a HD dvr that only works with #DishNetwork and $10.00 a month!
Don’t get ripped off. If you want HD, then you need to make sure that you get HD up front. Otherwise, you will get ripped off. DishNetwork, is just as bad as cable. With there little fees and wanting almost $500 for something that they won’t price on the website, till you call them.
Is DirecTV any better?
We are in a 2 year contract with DishNetwork, and Like i told the guy on the phone, It’s love hate at this point.
When we ordered DishNetwork, we were told that they would put in HD on day one, That was a Lie. They said $100.00 for install and 1st month, that wasn’t true either.
But, I do got to say they are cheap, and picture is good.
Would I get them again or recommend them?
No. In a day where almost all tv’s are HD, they are crazy to ask somone to pay 500$ for something that only works with DishNetwork service…
Instead, buy…
A Roku player (roku.com) 89.99
A Netbook (to hook up to your TV to see hulu and other over the internet HD shows); $295.00
that is $384.00 total, and now you can see Netflix and more on your TV, you have a Netbook to see free HD tv show and movies off the internet or $1.99 shows from Itunes (HD). You also, have a Netbook to use on vacations. A lot less then DishNetwork proprietary HD DVR, that only does TV shows.
