MusicRightsNow.org; Get music away from me!

http://bit.ly/95AjtU – push for new laws in the US to kick people offline for file sharing. “to implement a three strikes plan to kick people offline after three accusations (not convictions) of copyright infringement.”

This is idiocy. If this is the way that the US RIAA and Labels want to go then, I say, “Get music away from me!” The cost of “telephone” is to high, the loss of the internet? No Madonna or Metallica or other mindless drones music is worth that kind of hit. So, no music. No iTunes, no Amazon music, nothing.

I want music to be removed from shopping centers and coffee shops, from sonic drive ins and all public places. With such a high punishment for illegal sharing  of music, willfully or accidentally, then music is like a loaded gun in the hands of a 4year old. End the noise, kill the marshal stack, get music away from me!

I have been boycotting music purchases and downloads of all kinds since 2001, now I boycott the medium, Now going 100% music free.

US Senate works against us again.

“A new U.S. Senate bill would grant the president far-reaching emergency powers to seize control of or even shut down portions of the Internet.”

Yes, good ol’ Lieberman, the dumb idiot moron he is, thinks that giving the Government the power to shut down the internet when they choose is a good idea. They are even including legislation that puts no financial responsibility on software companies or on providers, as long as they follow the Governments cyber rules.
Recall McAfee’s brain-dead move of releasing an update that rendered some XP machines un-useable? PCs just kept looping, and never starting up after the update. Well, they wouldn’t have had to pay a thing, as long as the update had followed government legislation. Perhaps that is why,
Tom Gann, McAfee’s vice president for government relations, “very important piece of legislation.”"

My last thought; If this gets signed into law/adopted, then we as a people need to find a way to communicate, to have an internet, that is ad-hoc and doesn’t rely on infrastructure that is controllable.
Since, with this power, they can control all media, in a way that news would be a “one-to-many”, a one way filter of whatever they want. Instead of the broad encompassing “many-to-many” outlets that the internet provides. Joe might know the truth, but without a way to speak to the world, it could be, will be far to late if the government gets this control and takes away Joes ability to communicate to the world.
